A rare attraction for families with children or adults only - the Biopark in Fuengirola. Here you will feel like in a different world, and in fact, as if you are in Madakascar or Africa :)
The Bioparc Fuengirola advocates a new zoo model based on respect for nature and the protection of natural species, a model that has already become the flagship of Europe. It is a zoological park where animals live side by side, recreating their natural habitats. In addition, the surroundings thanks to waterfalls, a rock or a special building resembles a faithful copy tropical forest - the habitats of Africa, Asia and Madagascar.
There are currently 130 different species and over 1,400 individual animals in the park. Bioparc is something else home to symbolic species such as the Sumatra Tiger on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. Also at the center are exclusive species of great biological importance, such as the Malayan False Gaval, successfully bred here for the first time in captivity, and the Blue Duiker's not found anywhere else in Spain. and also a group gorillas.
In a very short time, the center was at the forefront of European zoos and as such gained wide recognition both in Spain and beyond. Moreover, it recently received an award confirming the miraculous reproduction of a farm known as "The Mangrove", which contains an amazing underwater view of this peculiar ecosystem in which fish, birds and turtles live.
