Running around Malaga from meeting to meeting, I often feel more or less hungry, so I consider the institutions of eating tapas brilliant :) I needed a place where I would literally drop in for a moment to catch my breath and eat something small at a low price. I analyzed several rankings of the best tapas bar in Malaga and finally I have one!

 

The Cortijo de Pepe restaurant has been part of the Málaga decor for a long time, as it has been operating for 46 years, since 1971. While serving traditional Andalusian cuisine, you can say that it has stood the test of time thanks to its authenticity, very good cuisine and really affordable prices.

 

It is one of those traditional places where we can find tapas at the bar, so we immediately know what we want or what we can taste. The restaurant specializes in sandwiches (mondatidos), salads (I recommend the avocado for € 2) and traditional Spanish cuisine (I recommend porra soup or tuna). We can also eat fish or meat, such as a bull's tail (robo de toro) served in larger portions. If you are a larger group, I recommend taking the whole portions for sharing (racion), if you are traveling alone, the tapa will be perfect (most for 2.10 €). Menu here.

 

In Cortijo de Pepe you will find the best in Málaga - traditions, Spanish atmosphere and very good food. Sit at the bar, drink tinto de verano, eat tapas, breathe a moment and catch the amazing energy that prevails in this place.
